What Happened

Authorities have inforamtion on a collision that killed a man at McKinney Avenue in Denton, TX on September 6th, 2024.  Police are saying the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. According to investigators, 79-year-old Eladio Santiago was utilizing a motorized wheelchair wheel in or near the roadway when he was struck by an approaching truck. Reports say Santiago was taken to an area hospital where he died of his injuries. The truck and its operator are said to have remained at the scene for authorities.
