Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-10 in San Antonio, TX on January 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:21 a.m. Investigators say an Acura TL operated by 28-year-old Samantha Morales is said to have been headed southbound on I-10 at an alleged high rate of speed. Investigators say the vehicle veered from the road at a curve, potentially due to driver distraction, and collided with a concrete retaining wall. Both Morales and a passenger, 49-year-old Elaine Martinez, were seriously injured. A third passenger also suffered serious injuries. Records show a charge for Intoxication Assault was recommended or issued.
