What Happened

Area authorities are looking into a crash that led to a fatality at Floral Rd and Lazy Palms in Linn, TX on November 29th, 2021. Police are saying the incident happened around 9:45 a.m. A Saturn passenger car and a dump truck were approaching the intersection at Floral Rd and Lazy Palms when officials say the Saturn allegedly failed to yield to the truck. The truck collided with the side of the Saturn and the driver, 90-year-old Eldon Olney Libby, died at the scene. A passenger, Inge Libby, was hospitalized with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. No further information was offered.
