Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at TX 159 near Bellville, TX on July 17th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 2:25 a.m. According to authorities, a Lincoln MKX operated by 49-year-old Jill McGinty was headed westbound TX 159 before allegedly crossing a center median and traveling into eastbound traffic. It collided with a Ford Explorer, sending both vehicles into a nearby ditch. An occupant of the Ford, identified as 34-year-old Elia Guerrero, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Her passenger and husband, Ruben, suffered undisclosed injuries. McGinty also suffered undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
