What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at US 57 in Eagle Pass, TX on September 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:50 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra operated by 28-year-old Dezerey Duke was headed southbound in a center turn lane before veering into an oncoming lane. It then collided with a northbound Nissan pickup truck operated by 60-year-old Elida Jaramillo. Jaramillo and a passenger, 71-year-old Carlos Perez Hernandez, suffered serious injuries. Suke was reportedly uninjured. Additional information was not immediately available.
