What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 762 in Fort Bend, TX on October 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. Investigators say an Audi A5 operated by 33-year-old Christian Martinez was headed northbound on FM 762 when it allegedly ran a red traffic signal light and collided with a Buick Enclave at the intersection with Circle Oak Parkway. The collision seriously injured both Martinez and the Buick operator, identified as 58-year-old Elizabeth Bates. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge against Martinez.
