Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a person at US 87 and FM 700 in Howard County, TX on August 24th, 2021. Police say the incident involved a motorhome headed eastbound on FM 700 failing to yield at an intersection and colliding with a northbound semi-truck at US 87. The motorhome driver, 74-year-old Elizabeth K Bergen was taken to an area hospital with injuries she died from. The truck driver, 48-year-old Ishmael Herrera, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
