Area authorities have confirmed the death of a driver in a crash at FM 1015 in Hidalgo County, TX on November 8th, 2021. They say it happened around 3:28 a.m. A Chevrolet Aveo operated by 46-year-old Elizabeth Romo Mendoza was reportedly traveling around a curve at a speed investigators believe to be unsafe. It then veered from the road and crashed into a tree, causing fatal injuries to Mendoza. Police allege Mendoza was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
