What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at Hwy 29 in Burnet County, TX on February 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:13 p.m. Investigators say a GMC Sierra operated by 40-year-old Ricardo Canchola crossed over a double yellow line onto the opposite side of the road before it collided with a head-on with a Ford F-250. Canchola and a passenger, 38-year-old Elva Gonzalez, suffered fatal injuries while a 4-year-old passenger was seriously injured. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
