What Happened

Officials are investigating a collision that occurred at 5:58 p.m. on September 15th, 2024, on State Hwy 16 in Bexar County, TX, involving a motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler. According to reports, the Jeep was stopped at a stop sign before attempting to cross the southbound lanes and turn north onto SH 16. The driver of the Jeep allegedly did not see the oncoming motorcycle and proceeded into the intersection. Officials say the motorcycle, operated by 58-year-old Emilio Torres, collided with the left side of the Jeep, Torres allegedly suffering serious injuries in the crash. A 57-year-old passenger on the motorcycle was also seriously injured. The other driver was not publicly identified and was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
