What Happened

Lubbock Police are investigating a collision that killed a man at NE Loop 289 in Lubbock, TX on July 27th, 2021. Police say the incident involved a Ford Explorer operated by 36-year-old Jesus Arenas that was headed westbound colliding with a Ford F-250 operated by 40-year-old Victor Gonzalez-Nieto. A rear seat passenger in the Ford, 62-year-old Enrique Garcia, suffered serious injuries that he died from two days later. A passenger under 18 suffered minor injuries while Garcia suffered more serious injuries. Gonzalez-Nieto suffered minor injuries.
