What Happened

Houston Police are searching for a driver in connection with a crash that killed a pedestrian at US Hwy 59 in Harris County, TX on September 28th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 11:10 p.m. According to investigators, Enrique Ybarra Camarillo was struck by a vehicle while in the northbound lanes of Hwy 59. The vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid followed by a second vehicle, a Chevrolet Equinox, also striking Camarillo. He died at the scene. The driver of the Equinox, an unnamed 24-year-old woman, remained at the scene and was determined not to be impaired. Additional details were not available.
