Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed one person involved at Southmore Ave in Pasadena, TX on August 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:08 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck was turning left at an intersection, allegedly failing to yield before colliding with a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Following the collision, reports say the vehicle briefly stopped before fleeing the scene without stopping to render aid. The pedestrian, identified as 73-year-old Erasmo Perez, was fatally injured.
