Area authorities confirmed the death of a person in a crash at State Hwy 155 in Smith County, TX on September 24th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Investigators say a Chevrolet Tahoe crossed a center line and collided with a Nissan 370Z headed northbound. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 52-year-old Eric C. Eitel, died at the scene. the other driver, 21-year-old Darrell Lewis, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
