What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at Slaton Rd in Lubbock, TX on March 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:17 a.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer operated by a 56-year-old Katy man was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Zenith Ave. Police say it was beginning to turn eastbound when it collided with a Hyundai Veloster operated by 42-year-old Eric Pena. Pena suffered minor injuries in the collision while the other driver was not injured. Records indicate the Katy man was charged with Failure to Yield Row.
