What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a wrong-way crash at Beltway 8 in Houston, TX on February 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:10 a.m. Authorities say a Honda Accord headed the wrong direction on northbound Beltway 8 collided with a USPS 18-wheeler. The man in the sedan, identified as 28-year-old Eric Rivera, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from. His passenger, an unidentified 21-year-old woman, was seriously injured. The truck driver involved was not injured.  Additional details were not available.
