Police are investigating a crash that injured several people at I-69 in Montgomery County, TX on August 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:06 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado was allegedly traveling southbound in northbound lanes before colliding with a northbound Toyota Corolla. Sources say both a 19-year-old passenger and 25-year-old Toyota operator, Erik Ponce, had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. A 20-year-old passenger was more seriously injured, as was the 50-year-old driver of the Silverado. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Silverado. Additional information was not available.
