Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Hwy 99 in Chambers County, TX in October 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:10 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 38-year-old Ernest Hicks Jr was headed westbound on FM 565 before losing control and going into a skid. The truck struck a curb before overturning into a tree line, causing fatal injuries to Hicks. A 33-year-old passenger, identified as Krystal Harrelson, suffered minor injuries.
