Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 36 in Sealy, TX on January 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:33 p.m. A commercial truck operated by a 70-year-old Crystal Lake, IL was reportedly backing into a private driveway when it was struck by a Mercedes-Benz operated by 29-year-old Esmirna Alicia Gonzalez. Investigators say the truck failed to yield and the driver, who was not injured, was issued a Backed Without Safety charge. Gonzalez suffered minor injuries.
