What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured two people at Burke Rd in Pasadena, TX on August 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:42 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Sienna allegedly operated by 29-year-old Sarah Coats was southbound before colliding with the rear of a Jeep Renegade operated by 18-year-old Evelin Lopez, which was stopped at a red light. Following to collusion, police allege the Toyota fled the scene without stopping to render aid or exchange information. Officials say Lopez and a 37-year-old passenger who was not identified both suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Sources indicate Coats was allegedly uninjured in the incident and further indicate a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge was recommended and/or issued against Coats.
