Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a person at Loop 338 in Ector County, TX on February 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:35 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram pickup truck, Ford Escape and two commercial trucks were involved. Police believe the Dodge Ram, occupied by 33-year-old passenger, Felipe Oviedo-Castillo, collided with the rear of a Kenworth truck stopped at a red light. The impact ejected Oviedo-Castillo from the vehicle into the Ford, leaving him with fatal injuries. The driver of the Dodge, who was not named, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The conditions of the other drivers was not stated and police did not share additional information.
