What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 137 in Reagan County, TX on March 18th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 30-year-old Fernando De La Cruz was headed southbound before veering from its lane. The vehicle traveled into a barrow ditch and lost control while attempting to return to the road. It caused the truck to go into a skid, leading to it overturning several times before crashing into a fence and catching fire. Police say De La Cruz had serious injuries and, after being helped from the truck by a witness, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
