What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-30 and Collins St in Arlington, TX on June 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:26 p.m. A Dodge Durango operated by  an unidentified 34-year-old Fort Worth man reportedly ran a red light, according to a witness at the scene, and collided with a Toyota Prius operated by 52-year-old Fernando Goncalves. The Fort Worth man reportedly fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended and arrested on a charge of Intoxication Assault. Chao suffered serious injuries in the collision.
