What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at Missouri Ave in El Paso, TX on November 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:07 p.m. Police say a Saturn SL operated by 22-year-old Fernie Favela was headed westbound at an alleged high rate of speed approaching a curb pin the roadway. The vehicle is said to have veered from the road into a guardrail, causing it to spin and eject Favela from the vehicle. Favela was taken to an area hopsital with injuries he later died from. A 17-year-old passenger in the vehicle had minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
