What Happened

Area authorities have information on the crash that killed a driver at FM 362 in Brookshire, TX on September 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:13 p.m. A Chevrolet Cruze operated by 37-year-old Kyle Conrath is said to have collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado occupied by 57-year-old Fidel Punete Mendoza under unclear circumstances. The Silverado caught on fire in the collision and Mendoza suffered fatal injuries. Conrath reportedly admitted to responding officers to consuming alcohol prior to the collision and was charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
