What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a person at  Reveille St in Houston, TX on June 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:13 a.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac Deville operated by 44-year-old Mario Zumaya is alleged to have possibly run a red light before colliding with a Ford Fiesta operated by 55-year-old Irma Torres. A passenger in the Ford, identified as 57-year-old Florencio Garza, suffered fatal injuries. Torres and another passenger, 47-year-old Rebeca Maldonado, suffered serious injuries. Zumaya suffered serious injuries as well and reports indicate a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued.
