Police say the incident happened around 7:27 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Impala operated by 57-year-old Federico Guzman was headed southwest on County Rd 99 when it veered from the road and went airborne before crashing to the ground in a ditch. The crash left a passenger, 65-year-old Fortino Guzman, with serious injuries. The driver suffered minor injuries and officers recommended and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
