What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a child at South Jack Kultgen Expressway in Waco, TX on April 11th, 2023. Polices say it happened around 8 p.m. and involved a single vehicle. Details regarding the cause for the collision were not available. Officials say a one-year-old child was heated from the vehicle int he crash as well as an adult. Four people in total were taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries considered to be non-life-threatening. Officers allege the driver, 27-year-old Shanquavea Mikayle Daniels, was intoxicated and state she was placed under arrest. They add that charges for injury to a child were recommended and/or issued.
