Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least four people at US 59 in Liberty County, TX on June 2nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed southbound is allegedly to have failed to remain in its lane before veering into a shoulder. There, reports say the truck collided with a GMC Sierra C1500 parked there. The impact is said to have caused at least two occupants to be ejected from the vehicle, ages 39 and 17. Police say both were seriously injured while two teen passengers, ages 16 and 14, had less serious injuries. The truck operator was not publicly identified and allegedly uninjured, according to reports. Reports also indicate the driver was cited for Failure to Drive in Single Lane.
