What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured four people at County Rd 128 in Brazoria County, TX on January 17th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:48 a.m. A Nissan Maxima operated by a 19-year-old male was headed westbound at an unsafe speed when it swerved to avoid crashing with another vehicle slowing to turn into a private drive. The vehicle lost control, went into a skid and traveled airborne before landing and overturning into a ditch. The driver and his three passengers were all seriously injured. Officers allege the drive consumed alcohol prior to the crash and suspect it played a role in the incident.
