Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed four people at US 90 near Sanderson, TX on August 15th, 2022. Police say the incident initially started as a Texas Department of Public Safety officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on a crew-cab truck. The truck reportedly sped away, leading to a chase that ended when it collided with an oncoming pickup truck. The two vehicles both caught fire in the crash, killing the driver and a rear seat passenger. Two occupants of the other truck were also killed while a third occupant, an unnamed woman from Honduras, was hospitalized with serious injuries. One other person involved was reportedly uninjured.
