What Happened

Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a driver at Spring Stuebner Rd in Harris County, TX on January 20th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:11 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima, operated by 20-year-old Framanian Plowden, was headed westbound on Spring Stuebner Rd. Police allege the vehicle may have been involved in a street race with a second vehicle at the time. Reports allege the vehicle veered from the road, for unconfirmed reasons, traveling over a curb and into westbound lanes. From there, police say the vehicle stuck a pole and a brick fence in the backyard of a private residence near Trammel Dr.  Plowden suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
