What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Mustang Rd in Ellis County, TX on October 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. A Chevrolet C1500 operated by 46-year-old Francisco Contreras was said to be traveling south on Mustang Rd at a high rate of speed one what investigators say was the wrong side of the road. It then collided with a parked, unoccupied tract0r-trailer. Contreras suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Investigators suggested a suspicion that alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
