What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a man at State Hwy 225 in Houston, TX on October 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6 a.m. Investigators believe a Toyota Corolla was stopped in a travel lane of the highway with active hazard lithe before it was rear ended by an eastbound Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Kia is said to have fled the scene on-foot following the collision. A short time later, the Corolla struck once again by the Kia when a Ford F-150 struck the abandoned vehicle, pushing it into the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota, 76-year-old Francisco Flores, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from. The Ford operator was not injured. Additional information was not available.
