What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Talty, TX on August 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:36 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 66-year-old Frank Peter Bergs was headed eastbound on I-20 when it allegedly performed an improper lane change, striking the rear of a tractor-trailer operated by a 31-year-old Carrollton man. The Silverado lost control after impact and veered from the road, overturning multiple times. Bergs was seriously injured while the Carrollton man was uninjured.
