Texas Department of Public Safety officials have named the person killed in a crash at I-20 in Ward County, TX on February 14th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 9:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Santa Fe operated by 79-year-old Frankie Allene Weaks was headed southbound on the I-20 service road when it allegedly ran a stop sign and crossed through a ditch onto the westbound lanes of I-20. It then collided with a semi-truck, causing Weaks fatal injuries when the vehicles caught fire. The truck driver involved was not injured. Additional details were not available.
