Police say the incident happened as a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 51-year-old Frankie Torres was headed westbound. Police say the vehicle veered left of the roadway for unclear reasons before losing control while attempting to return to the road. Sources say the Chevrolet ended up in an eastbound lane where it collided with a Ford F-350, both vehicles ended in a nearby ditch. The crash left Torres with fatal injuries while the other driver, who was not publicly identified, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
