What Happened

Area authorities confirmed the deaths of two women in a collision at Jackson Rd in Pharr, TX on August 7th, 2022. They say the incident happened when a Honda Accord previously headed southbound allegedly veered into a northbound lane prior to colliding head-on with a GMC Terrain. The Honda driver, 21-year-old Frida Nunez-Garza, died at the scene. The GMC driver, 40-year-old Evelina Silva, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from.
