Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-69 and H St in Harlingen, TX on June 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:46 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 41-year-old Gabriel Flores was headed northbound on S Expressway 77 when it reportedly attempted to pass and go around a tractor-trailer in a center lane. The motorcycle is said to have lost control and veered into the left rear tires of the truck before ejecting Flores from the vehicle and causing serious injuries he later died from. The truck driver involved was not injured and officers had no additional details to share.
