Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at Bammel Houston Dr in Harris County, TX on January 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 22-year-old Houston man was headed southbound approaching a pedestrian. The pedestrian, identified as 62-year-old Gabriel Santos Ruiz, was in or near the westbound side of the road before he was struck by the vehicle. Ruiz was transported to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
