What Happened

Area authorities are investigating an electrocution incident that killed a person at Margaritaville Resort in Conroe, TX on July 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened just after 3 p.m. Police say two men, including 25-year-old Garrett Townes were performing electrical work near the entrance of the resort when they were electrocuted under unclear circumstances. Townes suffered fatal injuries. The other man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
