What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash at State Hwy 27 in Kerr County, TX on January 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:23 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Highlander operated by 65-year-old Gary McClung was headed westbound Hwy 27 at the time. A Toyota Tundra operated by 46-year-old Chad Burow was headed eastbound and attempted a left turn onto Schladoer Ln. Officials allege the Tundra failed to yield during the turn, colliding with the Highlander. A passenger in the Highlander, identified as 63-year-old Asu McClung, was seriously injured. Mr. McClung had less serious injuries and both were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Burow was evaluated for possible injuries and officers recommended and/or issued charges for DWI and Failure to Yield Row.
