Police say the incident happened around 9:04 p.m. Authorities allege a Honda Accord operated by a 38-year-old Coldspring man was southbound, approaching a curve in the roadway. Police say the vehicle lost control while navigating the curve, veering into a nearby grassy ditch. From there, they believe the vehicle continued to slide, colliding with a tree before ultimately coming to rest. While the Coldspring man had non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports, a passenger suffered fatal injuries. The passenger was identified as 67-year-old Gary Ralph.
