Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at I-20 in Van Zandt County, TX on October 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:35 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was westbound on I-20 approaching a Chrysler 300 that was in a shoulder with a flat tire. Police say the vehicle was not occupied as the truck approached. Officials say the driver may have suffered a medical emergency that caused the truck to veer out of the its lane and struck the parked Chrysler. The impact caused the truck to lose control and overturn, leaving the driver, identified as 50-year-old Gary Toor, with injuries believed to be serious in nature.
