What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that left at least three people injured at I-30 in Arlington, TX on April 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:32 p.m. Investigators believe a Honda Civic operated by 44-year-old Geneva Romero was headed eastbound when it was struck from the rear by a second Honda Civic. It has been alleged the driver of the second Honda, identified as Jonathan Ramirez, may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash. His passengers, including 24-year-old Esteban Piceno and 23-year-old Lidia Hernandez, both had suspected non-life-threatening injuries. Romero was more seriously injured, according to officials. Authorities recommended and/or issued a DWI charge against Ramirez.
