What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at Renner Rd in Richardson, TX on July 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:10 a.m. A Cadillac ATS operated by 33-year-old Geoffrey Mark Shirley was headed westbound on Renner Rd when it approached a section of road requiring a left or right turn. Instead of turning, the vehicle continued straight and crashed through a curb-line over Waterview Parkway and into a grass field after going airborne. The vehicle landed and crashed, causing Shirley serious injuries.
