What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-10 in El Paso, TX on August 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4 a.m. A Kia K5 operated by 18-year-old George Soto was headed westbound on I-10 when it crashed directly into a guardrail as the road came to a break with an exit. The impact caused the car to overturn, seriously injuring a 17-year-old passenger. A second 17-year-old passenger car was evaluated for possible injuries while Soto was treated for minor injuries and issued a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.
