What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured all involved at Loop 335 in Potter County, TX on June 28th, 2023. Officials are saying it happened around 8:17 a.m. According to investigators, a Mack truck operated by a 62-year-old Amarillo man was headed westbound on Loop 335 prior to attempting a left turn at the crossover. As it turned, police say a Chrysler Town & Country, operated by 83-year-old Gerallyn Fruzia Osborn, was passing on a westbound inside lane. The vehicles collided when the truck struck the side of the Chrysler, the impact setting the Chrysler into a spin where it veered from the road and overturned into a road sign. The truck went into a center median before ending in a barrow ditch. The crash left Osborn and a passenger, 57-year-old Carrie Breckengridge, with injuries suspected of being serious in nature. The Amarillo man was less seriously injured, according to authorities. A Turn Left from Wrong Lane charge/citation was recommended and/or issued against the Amarillo man.
