What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at FM 907 in Hidalgo County, TX on July 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:27 a.m. Investigators say a GMC Sierra operated by a 40-year-old Pharr man was northbound on FM 907 nearing Wisconsin Rd. The vehicle is said to have collided with a pedestrian crossing eastbound at Wisconsin. Following the collision, the vehicle is alleged to have failed to stop and render aid to the pedestrian, identified as 50-year-old Gerardo Castillo Ulloa. Ulloa suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Charges for Intoxication Manslaughter and Failure to Stop and Render Aid were recommended and/or issued.
