Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Business 83 in McAllen, TX on December 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:14 a.m. According to investigators, Kia Forte operated by an unnamed 25-year-old McAllen woman was headed westbound when the vehicle collided with a Hyundai Elantra ahead that was stopped behind a Nissan Frontier operated by 30-year-old Gilberto Olvera. Olvera suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to police. The others involved were not injured and the McAllen woman was issued charges that include Driving While Intoxicated.
